i want him to be exactly like caden.

also, had a really good conversation with Lowell today about college and just hanging in there! I’m going to need us to continue our random inspirational talks once we go off to college.. they really keep my head on straight!

I DID IT!

Talked with the counselors and got them to recognize me during awards night.

Thank you Kimberly and congratulations to you and all you achieved!! :D

Distinguished Achievement Diploma

So I have been walking around all year thinking I had this thing because I asked Ms. Seaton first semester am I eligible and she said yes and don’t worry about it. Yesterday a small voice in my head told me to ask. And I did.

And I was not on the list. I tell her I have all four requirements, and she says that I took only one AP when I took two before senior year. So I had to bring my score report to prove I took two and that I got a 3 or higher (I got 3s on both in case you were wondering). She said “okay I will add you to the list but you will not have the little cross next to your name in the program for graduation, but all that matters is that your diploma will say it, right?” WRONG. I walked away saying okay but I was screaming in my head. I told my mom about this and she went off, which made me so happy. She said, “If the other kids are being recognized, then why cant you? I can understand if the program is already printed, but don’t y’all have an awards ceremony. Why can’t they say it there? Either announce all of you, or just announce you and say that you wont be in the program but you got it, so your peers and family can know during graduation. You clearly deserved it as much as the other kids who got it. Talk to Ms. Seaton again or go talk to the principal.” After she said all that, I realized she was right (as always). So hopefully I will get some justice.

I hope I do not come off as a braggart, but I want to be recognized. If the top 5% graduates get to walk in order and get recognized why can’t I?

Am I being too ambitious?

I finished reading these articles on UH’s website, and, now, I have set a few goals for myself.

1. Graduate Summa Cum Laude

2. Be as active as possible, at the rec center of course

3. Probably be invited to be a member of Phi Kappa Phi

4. Join a fraternity

5. Get into med school

6. If I still want to do it then get into the joint MD/JD program

I may add stuff as I go along my life.
